The Astraios Star System is a star system in the Gamma Quadrant containing three planets. It is the homeworld of the Astraionian species, and the Federation's first Gamma Quadrant colony.

Location

The Astraios Star System is located some 75,000 LY spinward of Pinastri, deep in the Gamma Quadrant, beyond the Tamlaa Vortex in a region of space unexplored by the Federation. Here three small planets orbit a relatively young star. The huge asteroid belt at the edge of the neighbouring Treman system stretches into this region. The innermost planet, Astraios, is an M-class planet. The humanoid population is primarily settled on the northern continent, where fresh water is easily available for crop growth and consumption.
