The Sheppard crew makes contact with the Askans, a civilization in the Askum System, and visits their planet.
Prelude
Chief Security Officer's Log, stardate 100911.
The Sheppard has just entered the Askum System. The system's main feature is Askum III, an M-Class planet that only became warp-capable in the last 50 years. As such, the Captain has ordered an away team down to the surface of the planet to explore and learn what we can about the inhabitants.
