Captain's Log:

Stardate: 200318

Alert Status: Green

The USS Caspian has arrived with the needed parts to repair our life support systems. While Moonprince and the engineering team are effecting repairs, I am leading an away team down to the surface to hopefully find out the source of the atmospheric contagions that had so strong a reaction in our Vulcan crew members. If we can isolate it, we can hopefully prevent further illnesses in the future.

As the contagion has no effect on humans, I will have to leave my chief science officer and other Vulcans aboard while we investigate and instead rely on other officers.

Voice Recording:

I took control of the Helm until we as a shift went down to explore a planet that was very jungle like to find plants that could serve as an antidote for whatever was ailing our Vulcan crew. I quickly came across some flytrap plants near an odd colored stream and there wasn't much I could do except take recordings from a distance, as I didn't want them to eat me.

Overall, it was a pleasant visit and it soothed my nerves.
