Captain's Log:

Alert Status: Red

The stakes are getting higher. The Romulan ship that was attacked was carrying high caliper weapons. both hand held and ship based. Whoever is behind the attack, they now have a pretty intense arsenal at their disposal. In addition, the engineering team confirmed the Romulan ship had a cloaking device. Had. It's not there any longer.

Although I can't flat out prove this was Skellos, it all points strongly to his standard methodology. He needs to be stopped, no matter what the cost, before he completes his master plan.

Voice Recording:

Skellos is being evasive and it's frustrating us all. We spent time on the Bridge discussing what he is doing and why he is doing it.

I set course 178, mark 42 at Admiral Randt's order and engaged at Warp 4 to resume patrol. I hope we find more evidence of what Skellos is up to...

And just when I thought it would be a normal shift...what is normal for Veracruz, I mean...we received a distress call from cargo vessel, Odin. The Odin came under attack and needed assistance, so Admiral Randt ordered me to alter course and engage at Warp 9 so we could help the ship in need.

What we found was disturbing. The Odin had been robbed, presumably by Skellos, and their terraforming equipment had been taken. I theorized that Skellos might be trying to recreate and improve upon the Genesis experiment of long ago, but I'm not sure how seriously anyone regarded what I said.
